Dame de Montrose 2005 RED France
Exceptionally dark colour … very deep and dark and concentrated. Full sweet round and ample. Very charming. Hugely enjoyable even now! (Jancis Robinson MW) Given the monumental proportions of Montrose it is not surprising that the property’s ’second’ wine is also one for the hedonists! As Jancis points out delicious in barrel - all chocolaty blackberries and deep earthy plum - but with the structure to age for 15 years or more.
